I'm a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in the cultivated Dutch landscape. The nature of this landscape is fundamental to my work. Repetition, organizing and thinking in systems are the main tools in my drawings, linocuts, textile- and audiovisual works.

My motivation stems from my own fears. Through my work I try to bridge the world around me and my own fears. This position between my inner world and one around me, creates a fictional world in which the body, the landscape and the objects around us merge together. A world wherein things appear and disappear simultaneously.

In my practice drawing, in other words the movement of my own hand is the starting point. This limitation forces an intense investment of time and introduces a fragility in my work. Through this I want to put emphasis on time and serves as a way of registering my actions in the most direct way possible.

The patterns, shapes and graphic works find their place in a space or as a series. The different pieces give are different perspectives of a world in which I as a creator can lose myself as much as the viewer.
